This series of charcoal and ink drawings developed through an open, process-driven approach in which imagery emerged through material interaction rather than predetermined composition. India ink, crushed charcoal, and drawing tools were layered, erased, smudged, and reworked, allowing forms to surface gradually from tonal fields and accidental marks. The resulting images move between abstraction and symbolic structures, with creature-like presences arising from dense atmospheres of shadow, residue, and gesture. Visible traces of dust, stain, and erasure remain embedded in the surfaces, emphasizing drawing as a responsive act in which control and chance operate together to generate invented beings and ambiguous, mythic spaces.
